Picked sulfate-free shampoo over clarifying for my fine hair and it paid off
I was stuck between a sulfate-free shampoo for gentle cleaning and a strong clarifying one for buildup. My hair gets greasy fast so I almost went with the clarifying option. After a month of sulfate-free washes my scalp stopped feeling tight and I only need to clarify once every two weeks now. Has anyone else switched away from harsh shampoos for fine hair and seen a difference?

Sulfate free gentle cleaning" yeah that's me alright, I swapped thinking my hair would rebel and turn into a greaseball but nope it actually started acting normal for once. My fine hair used to squeak after clarifying now it just sits there being boringly manageable and I feel personally victimized by how good it looks. I even caught myself petting my own head in a meeting last week so yeah the switch paid off in the weirdest way possible.

Three clarifying washes a week kept my fine hair from looking like an oil slick by noon. Honestly, sulfate-free made my roots feel heavy and limp after day two, not cleaner. Ngl, a good clarifying shampoo once a week keeps my fine hair bouncy without making my scalp tight or stripping it.
