Stumbled on a stat that changed how I plan lifts
Looked up the OSHA data last night and found out 40% of crane accidents happen during setup, not the actual lift. Who else double checks their outriggers after seeing numbers like that?

Wow, that's wild. Definitely makes you think twice about rushing the boring prep stuff.

Doesn't it seem like EVERYWHERE you look, people are skipping the boring steps and then acting shocked when things fall apart? I mean, it's not just in projects or cooking prep. I see it all the time with people learning new skills online, jumping straight to the flashy stuff before they even understand the basics. Then they wonder why they can't keep up or why their results are terrible. It's like everyone wants the VICTORY lap but nobody wants to do the training runs. Makes you realize how much of life is just about showing up and doing the grunt work properly, even when it feels pointless at first.
