Can we talk about the red tape with warranty repairs on diesel engines?

I spend hours on paperwork just to get a simple part covered under warranty. Some shops love the system because it guarantees payment, but I find it slows everything down. Do you think warranty processes help or hurt how we get work done?

Tell me, does all that paperwork actually improve the repair or just slow it down?

Ugh, don't get me started, my truck's been waiting on a simple part for weeks.

My neighbor's diesel generator warranty repair needed seven different signatures last fall. The shop kept saying they were waiting on approval from some regional office. His basement flooded because the backup power was out for weeks. It's crazy how a simple part can get stuck in so much paperwork, lmao. I feel like the system protects the company more than it helps the customer. All that time on forms doesn't make the engine run any better.
