inStopped for coffee in Tacoma and saw a body shop using a homemade frame rack setup in the alley behind it.
Man, does that ever bring back some memories? I saw a shop in Spokane once that had a truck frame hung from a chain hoist hooked to a big tree branch. It's wild what people can make work when they have to, but it also makes you wonder about the quality. I'd be nervous getting a car back from a place like that, you know?

inVent: Our book club spent $400 on a 'guided discussion kit' that was a total scam
Yeah, demanding a refund like @cameron747 said is the right move. We got our money back for a bad guide by blasting their social media with screenshots of the junk they sold us. Sometimes public pressure is the only thing that works on these shady companies. I would not let that go.

inSeeing more glassblowers skip the apprentice stage lately
Yeah, and like @uma668 said, this openness lets in new styles we'd never see otherwise. The craft evolves when it's not just one way in.

inThat laser distance measurer I borrowed for a shelf install? Turns out it's not just hype.
Why bother with tape measures for anything but rough work? The laser gives you exact numbers fast, no stretching or guessing. It turns a chore into a quick step.

inHot take: Everyone's doing cash stuffing, but I'm confused how it fits with digital life
Wait you had actual piles of money just... out? That sounds stressful.
