Question about going with a reman injector over a brand new one

I had to choose between a $250 reman injector and a $450 new one for a 6.7 Cummins last week, went with the reman to save cash. It fired up fine but now I'm wondering how many miles you guys usually get out of remans before they start acting up?

well that depends a lot on who did the reman honestly. some of those places just slap a new tip on and call it good while others actually replace the internals and flow test them. what brand did you go with? i've heard Bosch remans can go 100k plus but the cheap ebay ones start chattering around 30k.

Yeah that's fair, I used to be one of those guys who thought a reman was a reman no matter what. Figured as long as it looked clean and had a warranty it'd be fine. But after getting burned on a set of ebay injectors that died at like 28k miles I totally see what you're saying now. I ended up going with Bosch remans on my last swap and they've been solid for about 60k so far without a single hiccup. Definitely learned my lesson about cheaping out on that stuff, you really do get what you pay for with injectors.

30k seems about right for those cheap remans, but Bosch has earned my trust.
