Rant: My Milwaukee 2767 impact gun just gave up the ghost on a Friday afternoon
Was trying to pull a stubborn crank pulley bolt on a 6.7 Powerstroke and the anvil straight up sheared. Anyone know a better impact for heavy truck work?

@morgan_ramirez calling that Snap-on 1 inch a wallet killer is putting it lightly. That thing costs more than my first car.
Here's my real question though. Did the anvil just snap clean off or did it twist first? I've seen 2767s die in different ways and that matters for what you buy next. If it was a clean snap it's probably a casting flaw. If it twisted before snapping you were using it way past what it can handle.
Might need to look at air powered for that kind of work. Those 1 inch battery guns from Milwaukee and Snap-on are still playing catch up to a pneumatic.

Oof, "anvil straight up sheared" is a brutal way to go out. My old 2767 retired itself trying to get lug nuts off a school bus, just made a sad pop and gave up. Felt like I killed a loyal friend. For the big diesel stuff, I had to step up to the big boy 1 inch guns, it's a whole different world of expensive.

Heard the Snap-on 1-inch guns are the go-to for those monster diesel bolts (but my wallet already hurts).
