Found a brush preset that saved me 2 hours on shading last night
I downloaded this free chalk brush pack 3 years ago and never touched it until last week when I tried it for a portrait and suddenly the skin shading just blended itself in like 10 minutes flat, anyone else got a hidden preset they forgot about that turned out to be a lifesaver?

Most painting programs use totally different brush engines though...

Doesn't it feel like everything is getting more specialized these days? I see it everywhere, from coffee shops that only do pour overs to bike shops that only fix road bikes. It's the same with software, so chances are a tool built for photo editing won't crossover well into digital painting unless it's a really basic feature.
