Choosing between a cheap apartment in Chiang Mai and a pricier coliving spot in Lisbon
I had to pick a base for the next six months and it came down to a $300/month studio in Chiang Mai or a $1200/month coliving space in Lisbon. I went with Lisbon because I wanted a built-in community after feeling isolated. Honestly, it's been worth it for the instant friend group and reliable wifi, even though my budget is tighter. Anyone else faced a similar choice between saving cash and finding community?

How do you actually find those cheap apartments in Chiang Mai? I looked a while back and everything decent seemed way more than $300, unless you're talking about a place way outside the city or with no AC.

That's a tough call but I get wanting community over saving cash. Glad to hear Lisbon worked out for the social side even with the tighter budget.
