Just hit my first full year of working from a single backpack
I know it sounds small, but hitting 12 months with just my 28L pack feels like a real win. I spent about $250 on a proper tech organizer and packing cubes back in Lisbon, and honestly, it saved me. Before that, I was that person digging for a charger at the bottom of a messy bag while my laptop died in a cafe. The cubes keep my clothes sorted, and the organizer has specific spots for cables, hard drives, and adapters. It cut my pack-up time before a bus or flight in half, easy. I don't miss hauling a roller bag up three flights of stairs to a cheap apartment. Has anyone else found that one piece of gear that just made the constant moving way less stressful?

That's awesome, a full year is legit. What's the one thing you almost left behind but ended up needing all the time?

Oh man, congrats on the year! That's huge. I had a similar moment with my travel towel (sounds dumb, I know) but the microfiber one that dries super fast. Before that I was always hanging wet towels over chairs and getting moldy smells in my pack. The packing cubes are a game changer though, totally agree. And yeah, @the_evan mentioned the multi-tool which I almost left behind too but ended up needing like three times a month for random hostel fixes and zipper repairs.
