My friend told me to always pack a portable monitor for long stays, and it saved my work in Bali
I was staying in Ubud for a month and my laptop screen cracked on day three. My buddy had told me, 'Just bring a cheap portable monitor, trust me.' I almost didn't, but I had a 15-inch one in my bag. I hooked it up at the cafe and didn't miss a single deadline. Has anyone else had a piece of gear save them from a disaster like that?

Wish I had that advice last year lol. My tablet died in Lisbon and I was stuck using my phone for everything. Portable monitor sounds like a lifesaver.

Ngl @morgan_ramirez I kinda prefer just using my phone when my main device dies. Less stuff to carry around and charge.
