Shoutout to my basement for hitting exactly 100 trips to the hardware store this year

I was cleaning out my junk drawer last weekend and found a stack of receipts from the local hardware place. I got curious and counted them all up, and I hit exactly 100 trips since January. That's like two trips a week! It's wild because I only started one project, which was finishing my basement. I thought it would be a simple drywall and paint job, but then I needed a special drill bit for the concrete wall, then a different type of sealant for a weird damp spot, then extra trim because I messed up the cuts three times. My partner joked that I'm single-handedly keeping the store's lights on. Has anyone else had a simple project spiral into a ridiculous number of supply runs?

Start a list on your phone for every single item you think you'll need. You will still forget things, but it cuts down on the extra trips for stuff you already knew you had to buy. It saved my sanity during a kitchen reno.
