I finally stopped fighting with corner bead on old, uneven framing

Started using a flexible adhesive along with just a couple of screws on a remodel in a 1920s house, and it conformed perfectly without buckling. Anyone else have a go-to method for those wavy, out-of-plumb corners?

That adhesive holds great long-term, @troyreed, just use a couple screws to keep it straight while it sets.

Adhesive plus a few screws is the golden combo. Old walls shift and settle, and that bead will pop with just foam if there's any movement. Screws hold it tight while the glue cures, then you get the best of both worlds. Why gamble with just one method?

Wait, is that adhesive strong enough long term? I've always been told to use more screws on old walls so the bead doesn't pop later.
