Bought a cheap hoistway door gauge online and it cost me a whole morning

Found one for $25 on a discount site, figured it was a steal. The thing was off by a full eighth of an inch right out of the box. I had already set three doors on a job downtown before my foreman caught it. Had to go back and reset every single one, which burned about four hours of labor. Anyone know a reliable brand for these that won't break the bank?

My old boss used to say the most expensive tool is the one you buy twice. I learned that with a bargain bin laser level that drifted in the heat.
