Rant: That demo at Salesforce's office in SF made me cringe

I went to a partner showcase at their Tower in San Francisco last month and watched a guy pitch a $50k add-on by saying 'it integrates with everything' while the screen showed a spinning wheel of death for 90 seconds. Nobody in the room asked a single question after. I get that live demos are hard, but has anyone else seen these big tech events just totally fall flat when the product can't back up the sales talk?

Betting the demo would have bombed either way, people buy big promises more than they buy working software.

Integrates with everything" is a red flag every time. Nothing integrates with everything unless it's a screwdriver.
