Settled on HubSpot over Salesforce after a 6 month trial
We ran both for a quarter with 12 users each. HubSpot's reporting was way less painful to set up, even if Salesforce has more raw power. Anyone else make the switch and regret it later?

We went through this same thing at my old company, except we picked Salesforce first and regretted it hard. Spent like 3 months customizing reports and still couldn't get the data we wanted without hiring a specialist. HubSpot just works out of the box for most stuff, even if it feels simpler. I remember when we finally switched, the sales team actually started using the reports instead of ignoring them. That alone made it worth the move for us.

Happens way more than people talk about. Saw a similar thing at a nonprofit I volunteered for where they went with Salesforce because it looked more "professional" and then spent so much time tweaking it nobody had time to actually use it. For a small team that just needs straight answers, HubSpot's simplicity can be a lifesaver. There's this weird pride thing sometimes where people want the fanciest tool, even if it slows everything down. In the end, a tool that actually gets used is worth way more than a tool that looks impressive on a spreadsheet.
