My friend's job app got tossed by a resume scanner last month
He was perfect for the role, but the AI flagged his degree as 'non-traditional' even though it was from an accredited online program. The hiring manager only found out because my friend called to ask for feedback. How do we stop good people from getting filtered out before a human even looks?

But how do you even know what the scanner is looking for? Are the rules just a black box?

Wait, they only found out because he called? That's the real problem here. The system failed and no one would have known. It means this is happening to people who don't think to follow up. Companies are letting broken software make the first cut, and they're not even checking the results. They need a person to spot-check the "rejected" pile, or this just keeps happening in the dark.
