DAE remember trying to find the Everett library before they put up the new signs on Hoyt?

I used to wander around that block for 15 minutes every time, but after they added those bright blue markers last fall, I can walk straight there from the bus stop without a second thought, so has anyone found another local spot that's gotten way easier to navigate recently?

Oh man, that library was the worst! I read a little piece in the neighborhood newsletter about how they finally fixed the signs at the community garden on Elm Street. For years the entrance was just this tiny gate tucked between two houses, totally easy to miss. Now they've got a proper painted archway and a clear path from the sidewalk. It made such a difference for the plant swap last month.

I used to think those little hidden gardens were part of the charm. But after missing the herb sale twice because I walked right past Elm Street, I get why a clear sign matters.

Honestly, I feel like people get a little dramatic about signage. It's a hidden garden, it's supposed to be a bit of a secret, right? Missing a sale because you walked past once or twice is annoying, sure, but it's not like you missed a flight to Paris. A painted archway sounds nice and all, but does it really change the quality of the herbs? Seems like a lot of fuss over a few missed sage plants.
