Just realized I've been folding my fitted sheets wrong for 40 years
I was over at my sister's place last weekend helping her pack for a move. She folded one of those tricky fitted sheets flat in about 10 seconds flat. I've been balling them up and shoving them in the linen closet since 1983. She showed me the trick where you tuck the corners into each other and it actually works. Anybody else find out they've been doing some basic thing wrong their whole adult life?

Oh man hold on, I gotta gently push back on something. The trick where you tuck the corners into each other is good but it's not actually the fastest way. The real pro move is to put your hands inside two adjacent corners, flip one inside the other, then do the same with the other two corners. Then you just fold the whole thing down into a rectangle. My wife showed me this after watching me struggle with the tuck method for like 5 minutes. It sounds complicated but once you do it twice it becomes muscle memory. I can fold a fitted sheet flat in like 30 seconds now without even thinking about it.

Wait I actually read a whole article about this once that said the key is knowing your sheet's corners are basically symmetrical so you can't mess it up by grabbing the wrong ones. It claimed the trick is all about finding the seam that makes the square shape naturally happen. I tried it a few times and honestly my folded sheets still look like a lumpy potato. But maybe I'm just not cut out for adulting at this level.
