Looked at my calendar and saw I've trimmed 500 horses this year

I mean, I don't really keep track normally, but I added it up after finishing a big barn in Greeley last week. It just hit me how many different feet that actually is, and all the different problems you see. Anyone else get surprised by a number like that?

That Greeley barn was a tough one, lot of overgrown feet and thrush. But 500 horses... is that even a lot for a full year? I know guys who do that by June just doing regular ranch work. Seems like a normal workload if you're doing this full time.

Yeah, I did a contract for a big rescue in Texas last year that had over 600 head. Most of them had never had their feet handled, so we were basically starting from scratch on every single one. Took a three person crew nearly two months just to get through the basics.
