Hot take: Adding a splash of pickle juice to your guacamole is the only way to make it

I was making guac for a party last week and realized I was out of lime juice. In a panic, I grabbed the jar of dill pickles and poured in about a tablespoon of the brine. It totally saved it. The vinegar and dill gave it a tangy kick that regular lime just doesn't have. Has anyone else tried a weird swap like that that actually worked?

Totally get it, I've done something similar. Ran out of buttermilk for fried chicken once and used plain yogurt thinned with a bit of milk and a big splash of pickle juice. The chicken turned out amazing, super juicy and tangy. That brine is a secret weapon for more than just tuna salad.
