I thought the whole 'air fryer' thing was just a microwave for crunchy people, but my sister made some frozen fries in hers in Boise that were shockingly close to real diner food.
What's a food trend you were totally wrong about at first?

Oh man, I was the exact same with avocado toast. I saw it everywhere and just thought it was mushy green nonsense on bread for way too much money. Then I actually tried some with a little salt and pepper and hot sauce, and I felt like such an idiot. It's just really good, lol.

My friend in Portland made me try kombucha about five years ago and I was sure it was just fizzy vinegar. Took me a whole summer of seeing it in her fridge before I tried the ginger flavor. Now I drink it all the time, it's weirdly refreshing once you get past that first sour punch.
