Thought our new sand binder was a total waste of money

We switched to the ProSet 5500 system at our Toledo plant last month and I hated it for the first week, thought it set up way too slow. Then we had a huge rush order for 300 engine blocks and the old binder would have crumbled under the time pressure, but the 5500 held perfect detail even with our fast cycle. Anyone else run into a product that seemed bad at first but saved your skin?

Reminds me of how people trash new software updates before even trying them. Saw it happen with the last phone OS, everyone complained until they actually used the new features for a week. We're just wired to hate change until it saves our butts.
