A client in Denver said my project updates were too vague to be useful
They told me 'just saying it's 80% done doesn't help me plan,' so I switched to listing the next three specific tasks instead. How do you guys keep clients in the loop without writing a novel?

Reminds me of a friend who started sending bullet points after reading bettys51's truck story.

Nah man, I gotta disagree. Those bullet points probably helped the friend actually get his point across without rambling. Bettys51's boss asking for percentages is a different situation because he was trying to avoid actual details. Bullet points force you to think about what really matters before you type it out. I've seen people waste hours on emails that should have been three lines.

My boss used to ask for "percentages" until I told him the warehouse was 73.2% full. Now he just wants to know what's on the next truck.
