Question about the weirdest client request I've ever gotten

A new client in Austin asked me to write a 5,000 word blog post about the history of industrial glue. I spent three days on it, sent it over, and they replied 'perfect, but can you make it 10% funnier?' I had to go back and add jokes about adhesive bonding. Got paid, but my brain still hurts from trying to make epoxy sound hilarious. Has anyone else had a client ask you to do something that just made zero sense for the project?

Charge extra for the funny stuff, @margaret304.

Honestly, @piper_taylor65, that "whimsical tax guide" request might be worse. I once had to rewrite a forklift safety manual to sound "more inspirational.

Making glue funny sounds like a special kind of torture. Got a request once to make a tax guide "more whimsical." Some clients just live in a different world.
