Pro tip: I just found out my old way of making a mixtape was actually a pain for everyone
I was cleaning out my old car and found a cassette I made for a friend back in 2010. I spent hours picking songs and timing the pauses. My Gen Z cousin saw it and asked why I didn't just send a link. I said it was more personal, but she pointed out they couldn't skip the bad songs. It hit me that my 'thoughtful' gift was just inconvenient. Anyone else have a millennial habit that just doesn't work now?

Wait, you actually timed the pauses? That's a level of detail I never even thought about. I just hit record and hoped for the best.

Honestly, that whole mixtape struggle is so real. Tbh, I switched to making digital playlists with a short voice memo at the start of each song explaining why I picked it. It kept the personal touch without the hassle.
