My son called my record collection 'a lot of work' and it made me think
I was showing him my old vinyl from the 80s, about 200 albums in milk crates. He said, 'Seems like a lot of work to just hear a song.' He can pull up any track in two seconds on his phone. I see his point about convenience, but I feel the ritual of putting on a record is part of the experience. Is the physical act of listening something younger people just don't value anymore?

Wait, 200 albums in milk crates? That's a whole wall of music right there. I mean, maybe it's just me but pulling out a specific record is part of the fun, not just work. It's like the difference between fast food and cooking a meal you actually care about.
