Feel your pain so much on this. Had a cheap sketchbook completely come apart in Lisbon, lost some decent drawings of tram cars. I mean on one hand, that super cheap stuff lets you sketch without worry, which is kinda freeing. But watching a memory literally fall apart in your bag is the worst. Maybe it's just me, but a single good sketchbook that survives feels more "frugal" in the long run because the memory is actually saved. Idk, it's a tough call.
