TIL that skipping the anti-fatigue mat made my back feel better

It's funny how often we pay to overcomplicate solutions. @wood.logan, your chair story just shows how the simple fix is usually the right one.

TIL the old timer at the hardware store knew more about my soil than any app.

Actually, what gets me is how that skill reads the whole land, not just the dirt. A pro might notice how water pools in one spot after a light rain, or where the moss grows thick on the north side of the trees. They see why certain plants always struggle in a corner of the field even if the soil feels the same. It's less about the dirt in your hand and more about the story the whole place is telling.

Vent: Tired of hearing that collabs are the only way to grow

I read that forced collabs can backfire, so @dylan_smith36's buddy getting real worked out better.

Seeing more portable pizza ovens in campgrounds this year

I used to totally agree about the weight not being worth it. Then my cousin brought one on our group trip last month, the kind that uses those small propane bottles. That thing got screaming hot in like ten minutes. We made pizzas with premade dough, and the crust bubbled up like a proper wood-fired pie. Completely changed my view on bringing one.

Vent: That old annealing oven cost me a week's work

Ceramic Arts Daily did a whole piece on how manual kilns caused more waste for most home studios. That slower cooling you miss is actually what makes them so tricky to control perfectly. A good digital controller on a new oven would have saved that batch, no question. Sometimes the old way just wasn't better, lol.
