inI finally saw the point of haiku by writing one each day
Watching someone get excited about haiku feels like seeing a person discover their own hands. So you mean to tell me that writing the same short poem every single day actually did something for you? I would have guessed it was just a good way to run out of things to say about clouds. But you're seriously out there noticing tiny moss patches and spiderwebs now? I guess forcing yourself to find three lines worth of meaning in your boring walk does train your brain. The joke is that it sounds like a chore but it actually rewires how you look at stuff. Now everything is a potential haiku, isn't it.

inFinding out the grocery store scans faces with AI and doesn't tell anyone
And here I was, feeling all noble for boycotting my local grocer over the same thing. My BIG plan lasted until I realized the next store is a twenty minute drive and I'm just lazy. I tried to stick with it, but when I needed milk at 9 PM, I caved HARD. Now I feel like a hypocrite every time I walk in, but my car thanks me for the shorter trips. It's a weird spot where my principles crash into my comfort, and comfort usually wins.

inI never cared about gadget reviews until I had to build a home office
Totally, and it goes beyond just finding good stuff. Reviews save you from real bad buys too. I almost got this fancy looking chair that every single deep dive said falls apart in six months. Or webcams where the specs look fine but the real world video is fuzzy junk. You start to notice which reviewers actually test things for normal desk use, not just bench marks.
