Tried coding an AI assistant to moderate my DnD group chat... it backfired hard
I set up a basic GPT-3 bot to filter out rule-breaking posts in our 12-person campaign chat, figuring it'd save me time arguing. But within 3 hours it flagged my dwarf player's joke about "mining for ore" as hate speech, and I had to apologize to everyone. Has anyone else had an AI moderation tool totally miss the context of your group's inside jokes?

Honestly I used to think AI moderation was the future but after watching it flag "we need more snacks for game night" as suspicious behavior I totally get why people hate it. It's like teaching a dog new tricks but the dog keeps barking at the mailman instead.
