Hot take: I saw a 737's engine cowl go from a 3-hour job to under 90 minutes
Our shop switched to the new quick-latch system from the old bolt-on style, and the difference after a week of practice is crazy. Anyone else made that switch and seen similar time savings?

Did they have to pry the old bolt kits out of your hands with a crowbar first? We fought that upgrade for months, swore the new latches would fail in flight. Now I can't remember why we wasted so much time arguing over a few dozen bolts. The time saved adds up so fast it's almost embarrassing.

Remember watching the first guy on our crew do it. He fumbled for twenty minutes, swearing the whole time. By the third day, we were all racing to beat an hour. The real win is not dropping those tiny bolts into the intake.

Man, I had a buddy who swore he'd never touch the new bolt kit. First time he tried it, he spent half an hour chasing the same washer across the hangar floor. Now he's the one timing everyone else and laughing about it.
