Tried a new climbing hitch on a big pine removal last week and it just... didn't hold.

Switched from my usual VT to a Knut for a 60-foot pine in the rain, thinking the extra grip would help. The thing kept creeping on me the whole time, which was a real pain and slowed everything down. Anyone have a better wet-weather hitch they swear by?

Oh man, a Knut in the wet? That's your problem right there, they're known to slip when it's soaked. Try a Michoacan or even a Blake's hitch with an extra wrap next time.
