Bought a cheap metal detector for $80 thinking I'd find something cool at the old farm site... all I got was a bent nail and a bunch of bottle caps.

Honestly, I used to get so mad finding nothing but bent nails and old hinges. Then one time, under a whole pile of them, my pinpointer went off on a silver dime. Totally changed how I see those spots now. You gotta dig the trash to find the good stuff sometimes.
