Spent $40 on a specific online course about asking better questions and it was a total waste.

I saw an ad for this course promising to teach you how to ask questions that get real answers, which seemed perfect for this community. It was four video modules for $40. The content was just basic stuff like 'be clear' and 'listen to the answer.' I finished it in an hour and learned nothing new. It felt like a blog post stretched into a paid video. I'm annoyed I fell for the marketing. Has anyone found a genuinely helpful resource for improving how you ask things online?

You really thought it was that basic? I paid for a similar thing once and the part about framing questions to avoid yes/no answers actually helped me a lot. What kind of questions were you hoping to get better at asking?

But sometimes you gotta pay to learn what not to buy next time.

My friend bought a $30 "conversation kit" that was just three printed cards. Parkerp80's weather book sounds way more useful than that.

Yeah that reminds me of a time I bought a book on small talk... it was just a list of weather questions. Felt like a total scam.
