Six months ago I was the funny one on dates. Now I'm just the guy who talks about work.
I went from cracking jokes that got laughs to rambling about customers and inventory within like 5 dates after I started managing the hardware store. Has anyone else had their conversation skills totally die after a job change?

Three months into my new job I stopped telling stories altogether. Work just sucks the creativity right out of you after eight hours of the same routines. Give it time, your funny side will come back once you settle in.

Is it just me or does that eight hour grind turn every brain cell into mashed potatoes by Friday, @kai_butler83? I swear I spent a whole shift last week trying to remember the punchline to a joke I told twenty years ago.
