My neighbor Dave just put up a fence 2 feet onto my property in Seattle

He did it while I was at work last Tuesday. Came home and there it was, right over the survey marker. I asked him about it and he just said 'looks fine from here.' Has anyone else had to deal with a property line fence fight? What did you do?

Two feet honestly seems like a small thing to get worked up about. It's just a fence line, not like he built a garage on your land. Maybe Dave measured wrong and it was an honest mistake. Getting lawyers and surveys involved over something that small feels like a huge hassle for everyone. If the fence looks fine and doesn't block anything important, I'd probably just let it go. Picking a fight with a neighbor you have to live next to for years seems worse than losing a couple feet of grass.
