My African violets finally bloomed after I started bottom watering them
I've had these three African violets for over a year and they barely did anything. Just sat there with sad leaves and zero flowers. I tried different light spots, I tried fertilizer, nothing worked. Then my neighbor who grows orchids told me to try bottom watering with warm water. I filled a tray with water and let the pots sit in it for about 30 minutes once a week. After maybe two months, I noticed buds forming. Now all three have pink and purple blooms and the leaves look so much healthier. I never realized how fussy they are about getting water on their leaves. Has anyone else had success switching to bottom watering for picky plants?

Funny how sometimes the simplest change makes all the difference, just like switching to a better tool on a job.
