My whole family used to be a Pepsi house, but a trip to Georgia changed that for good
For over 20 years, my parents only bought Pepsi, and I did the same. Everything changed during a road trip to Savannah three summers ago. I grabbed a Coke from a gas station cooler just to try it, and the taste was totally different, crisper somehow. I realized I'd been loyal to a brand just out of habit, not because it was actually better. Now I only buy Coca-Cola, and I even keep track of the dates on the cans to make sure it's fresh. Has anyone else had a single moment that completely flipped their brand loyalty like that?

My family's been to Georgia twice and we still prefer Pepsi's smoother taste.

Taste is funny like that, @bennett.noah, people just get used to what they know.

So you've been to Georgia twice and still pick Pepsi, @bennett.noah? What is it about the "smoothness" that Coke just can't match for you guys? Is it like a mouthfeel thing or more about the aftertaste?
