It was a segment about downtown revitalization, and he said something like 'nobody minds feeding the meter.' The replies were brutal for two days straight. Has a public figure ever been 'cancelled' over something that small before?

You know, I used to feel the same way as patw85 about stuff like this. What changed for me was seeing how these small arguments often point to a bigger, more annoying problem. It stops being about the hill and starts being about the principle, even if it looks silly from the outside. That's when I stop watching and pick a side.
