Rant: Saw a guy in Phoenix skip the power stretcher on a whole house job
He was just kicking it in with a knee kicker and the whole thing was rippled in a week. Anyone else see this kind of shortcut and just want to scream?

Oh man, that's brutal. My buddy hired a cheap crew for his living room and they did the same thing, no power stretcher. You could see waves by the door before they even packed up their van. He had to fight to get his money back.

Just reading that made my back hurt. I'm with @king.andrew, that's a sure way to get a floor that looks like the ocean. I tried to help my uncle with a knee kicker once and we created a permanent hill.

That "permanent hill" line is too real. It's wild how a bad install can actually change the shape of a room. @king.andrew's story about the waves by the door makes me wonder if some crews just plan on furniture hiding all their mistakes. You never notice until you drop a marble and watch it roll forever.
