The move from hands-on fixes to screen time underwater
In the past, a job meant going down with basic gear and relying on touch to find issues. Now, we often sit topside watching feeds from cameras and sensors. It's cleaner and less risky, but I worry new divers lose the feel for the water. Last month, a guy on my crew had trouble because he only trained on simulators.

New tech's fine, but is it really a big issue?

Totally, it's just a marketing problem anyway.

The marketing budget for that last campaign was over two million dollars. Calling it just a marketing problem feels like saying a sinking ship just has a little water in the basement. They completely missed the mark on who would actually want the product in the first place. That's a core design flaw, not something an ad can fix.
