Finally got my mom to use a password manager after her old email got hit
Three years ago, her Yahoo account got taken over because she used the same password everywhere. Last month, I set her up with Bitwarden on her laptop in Phoenix. Took a whole afternoon to move her 50+ logins over. Anyone else have tips for helping older family members stick with it?

Did you set up the emergency access feature for her Bitwarden account in case she forgets the master password?

Heard a story from a friend who thought she had everything covered with her dad's accounts. She set up emergency access but then forgot to actually accept the invitation on her own Bitwarden account. So when her dad got locked out and she tried to use it, it just said "pending" and nothing worked. Ended up having to do the whole manual recovery thing anyway which took like a week. So yeah, you gotta make sure both sides actually confirm that setup.
