Talked to a traditional painter who called digital art 'cheating' and now I'm not sure where I stand
They said using undo and layers removes the risk and skill of making a mark you can't take back, but I argued that digital has its own learning curve like color theory and brush control - which side actually builds better artists in the long run?

30 layers and undo buttons make

Feel you on this lol. 30 layers deep and no undo would mean starting over from scratch every single time you mess up a brush stroke or accidentally nudge a shape layer sideways. Undo is basically a safety net for my shaky hands and impulsive clicking habits. I'd probably rage quit half my projects without it.
