Changed my mind about paint sprayers after one basement ceiling

I spent years brushing and rolling every room because I figured sprayers were too much cleanup work. Then I had to paint a popcorn-textured basement ceiling last month and got sick of the roller fight. Borrowed a friend's Wagner sprayer, spent 20 minutes on masking, and finished the whole ceiling in 45 minutes flat. The finish was way more even than anything I've done with a brush. Has anyone else had their whole painting approach flipped by trying a tool once?

The ceiling job is exactly what converted me too. After fighting with a roller on textured ceilings I was ready to burn the whole thing down. A buddy let me borrow his Graco and I did two rooms of knockdown texture in an afternoon that would have taken me three days with a brush. The overspray was a pain to mask for but the time savings was insane. Once you get used to the setup routine there's no going back to brushing anything bigger than a baseboard.

Yeah I read somewhere sprayers are the only way to go for knockdown without losing your mind.

Masking is half the battle, but the sprayer still wins every time.
