PSA: My $80 paint sprayer turned a weekend job into a month long mess

I wanted to paint my kitchen cabinets fast, so I got a cheap electric sprayer from the hardware store. It clogged every five minutes, and I spent more time cleaning it than painting. The finish ended up all bumpy and I had to sand everything down and start over with a brush. Has anyone actually had good luck with a budget sprayer, or should I just rent a pro one next time?
