Am I the only one who thinks bucket teeth placement on the James River job was a mess?
I was down on the James River last week working a sandbar dredge and noticed the bucket seemed to catch on every other pass. The operator was newer, but the foreman said it was fine and to keep going. Which do you trust more, the guy running it or the guy calling the cuts?

The foreman's usually thinking about production numbers, not the bucket digging clean. If it's catching on every other pass, that's a tooth pattern issue, not an operator problem. Try pulling the bucket back and checking the adapter alignment before blaming the green guy. Sometimes swapping to a shorter tooth on the wing positions makes a world of difference in how it loads up.

Nah, "tooth pattern" is just an excuse for an operator who can't feel the machine.

Hold on, wait. So you're saying the foreman just waved it off and kept the green guy going? @alice_palmer20 is spot on about the wing teeth making a difference, you'd think the foreman would have caught that before it turned into a headache.
