Am I the only one who had a 20-year-old GFCI outlet in a bathroom finally give up the ghost last Tuesday?
Tbh, I was troubleshooting a dead circuit and found the test button just clicked but didn't trip, so I swapped it out for a new one and the whole line came back to life, anyone else run into these old ones failing closed like that?

Found the same thing in my kitchen, swapping it fixed everything.

Totally! I had that exact issue with my old blender, a simple swap did the trick too.

Not really sold on that approach honestly. Sometimes replacing just one part can mask a bigger underlying issue that'll show up later. Sounds like a band-aid fix rather than actually solving the root cause.
