Finally caved and bought a Wago connector kit after years of wire nuts

I've been using wire nuts for 15 years and honestly thought Wagos were just a gimmick for lazy newbies. Last month I had to rewire a rat's nest of junction boxes in an old house near Portland and grabbed a kit out of pure frustration. They saved me at least 2 hours of twisting and taping in tight spots where my fingers barely fit. I'm still not tossing my wire nuts entirely but I get it now. Anyone else have a tool they swore off then changed their mind about?

Bought my first Wago kit last year after cussing out a wire nut in a crawlspace for the last time. Felt like I was cheating at first but now I keep a handful in every tool pouch. The real test was when my crew took over a job and started using them without asking - that's when I knew they were legit. Still break out the wire nuts for outdoor stuff where I want a real seal, but for most indoor work those little orange blocks beat twisting any day.

Your crew started using them without asking" - wait, that's the real litmus test right there. I'd need a minute to process that too.

My buddy Matt had a similar thing happen at his shop. He came back from lunch and the new kid had wired up half a panel with those Wagos without saying a word. Matt said at first he wanted to be mad but then he realized the connections were cleaner than anything he'd done with nuts that week. The kid told him he watched a YouTube video about it and figured he'd try it out.
