PSA: Cold emailing C-suite execs on weekends actually boosted my response rate
I was stuck getting like a 2% reply rate on my B2B outreach for months. Out of frustration I sent 50 emails to VPs at SaaS companies on a Saturday afternoon in Chicago and got 8 replies by Monday morning. Anyone else seen weird success with off-hours timing for enterprise deals?
Interesting stat, but Saturday afternoon isn't really "off-hours" for a lot of SaaS VPs who check their work email constantly. That's actually peak "I'm bored at soccer practice" time for that crowd. Weekday mornings from like 6-8am or late Sunday night might be a better test.
Also worth noting that 50 emails is a pretty small sample size. Could just be the specific people you hit that day happened to be in a good mood or had an open problem. My own tests showed better luck on Tuesday afternoons around 2pm, but that was for mid-market, not enterprise.
Either way, good reminder that testing weird times can shake up the algorithm in your head. Just don't read too much into one Saturday batch.
Tuesday 2pm is a surprising one @leelewis, what made you land on that specific window for mid-market? I usually hit dead air on weekday afternoons unless they're in a different time zone.
