Rant: Our $20k ABM platform gave us zero pipeline in 6 months
We signed a contract with a big ABM tool back in February. The sales guy promised it would integrate with Salesforce in 2 hours. Took our dev team 3 weeks to get it even sort of working. Then the data was all wrong, like 40% of the leads were duplicates. Last week I pulled the ROI report and we spent $20k for exactly zero meetings booked. I'm convinced these platforms just prey on enterprise marketing teams who are too scared to admit they got sold a dream. Anyone else finding success with a simpler stack instead of these bloated tools?

Did you actually train your team on how to use it properly or just assume it would magically work? Most ABM platforms have a steep learning curve and if you treat them like a plug-and-play solution they'll definitely fail.

You're spot on about the steep learning curve. I made that mistake once, so now I schedule weekly check-ins for the first month to walk through the reports and answer questions.

Totally agree, that weekly check-in habit is a lifesaver for getting people up to speed fast.
